My service advisor Kathy was amazing! Very professional and honest. I brought in my 2017 Pilot for a check emissions light and expected to pay $200+ for repair, and to my pleasant surprise, Kathy told me it was covered under a recall. Also, service was completed hours ahead of schedule. I purchased my Pilot 5 years ago from this dealership, have had all of my service completed there and never been disappointed. Going to buy new Pilot and will gladly purchase from same dealership.

I purchased a new 2023 Honda pilot from this dealership and I have to say that my experience was fantastic. There were no pushy sales tactics, everyone was honest, transparent and wanted the best for me. Genuinely. I price shopped at various Honda dealerships in my area, including in Temecula, lake Elsinore, Hemet, Riverside, and Corona; and not one of them would be transparent with the pricing, and when I would arrive at the dealership all of them had added accessories that I didn't want and that cost thousands of dollars.. Auto Nation was the ONLY dealership that was willing to sell me the vehicle at a price I was willing to pay, not a dime more on overpriced additions. It was a bit of a drive to get there from where I live, but it was COMPLETELY worth it and I will definitely be coming back here when it's time to purchase my wife's Honda. Highly recommend this dealership.

I needed help with my keys that lock/unlock my vehicle. And even though I had purchased the car way over a year ago and it was not a "CPO" vehicle, I called hoping the salesperson Jamie would see if she was willing to help me. To my total surprise she said she would check with her manager and call me back. She called me back I believe in an hour or two and got her manager's approval to provide me with repairing my key at the "employee's" discount. That was SO NICE of her, her manager to do that. Like I mentioned, it wasn't like a month or two since I purchased my car from them. They didn't owe me a thing. I truly can say this was such a nice gesture of Auto Nation Honda in Costa Mesa. I have bought a lot of cars in my lifetime, not everyone has acted with such generosity, and helpfulness. Would definitely recommend buying from them.

Lidio is very good. I would ask for him again to service my car. He let me know if other services I could get done but did not pressure me to do it all that day. He?s very polite, knowledgeable and my car is now fresh after the oil change and complementary car wash. Waits wasn?t bad. Enjoyed a cup of tea and a walk and my car was done.

Autonation Honda made the car buying process a pleasant and easy task. From the finance, salesman, sales manager and general manager everyone there was very nice and welcoming. Over the years I've purchased a variety of cars and i must say the service here is up there with the luxury brands such as bmw and mercedes. Great service - Had problem with AC, they took a look at it, found it was covered under 10 year warranty and didn't charge me anything for diagnosis or repair. They drove to get a spare part and got it done in just 4 hours!

Had a great experience getting service done on my car. Called and was able to get a last minute appointment the same day. Derrick was extra helpful and patient and made sure I got the best deal for my oil change service that day. I opted to wait in the lobby and glad there were plenty of tables and chairs, water and coffee! It was nice and quiet too as they his made my wait more pleasant. Once my car was done, Derrick immediately called me over and explained what services were rendered and what was recommended for my next visit. Highly recommend this dealer for your services!

It was a great experience getting help from Edgar (I forgot his last name) 🥲 he was such a great help, and I got the car I wanted. He has a fantastic personality. You can tell he loves what he does! However, I had a terrible experience with Zee. Initially, he was nice, but after I walked out without any of the plans he recommended, he got agitated. He also said he wouldn’t force me, but his behavior and attitude showed otherwise. He made me super uncomfortable, and the other people I was with. In the end, he didn’t even congratulate me, and he made an unnecessary comment. He said, “so you’re going to walk out without any plan.” I said, “yes,” and he said, “well, good luck in three years when you get into an accident.” I understand that is his job, and he wants to sell and that is his job. But that was so uncalled for and was extremely rude of him to say.

I had an amazing experience with my car buying process I was out of there in no time. They made sure all my questions were answered. They even took care of me after I bought the car for a minor thing and they went far and beyond to help me and washed my car again before I left and even that time I was in and out in no time. I would not recommend this dealership after my recent experience. I took my Civic in to get assessed in December because it was overheating and there was a strange burning smell. I spent $190 on getting it evaluated, and I was told that oil was probably leaking out of the gasket of an engine cylinder and my engine either needed to be taken apart at a machine shop (min $2.5k) or I needed a new engine (min cost $7k). This didn’t seem right to me so I took the car to a small mechanic shop nearby that the AAA recommended, and the first thing they did was check the coolant, which was extremely low. That was the reason the car was overheating. Apparently no one at Autonation even checked it during their evaluation. They also found a plastic bag stuck to the exhaust manifold, which was making the burning smell. The mechanic did a pressure leak test and found there were no leaks in the engine gaskets. He replaced the coolant and removed the trash bag and my car has been perfectly fine ever since. It only cost me $70 to do all that. I have contacted Autonation via phone and email to discuss this matter and no one seemed to care. The woman on the phone didn’t even apologize. I spent $190 on terrible advice and definitely won’t be back.

Took in my 2016 Honda civic for a A/C issue. Lidio made the process very easy ! My experience with lidio was AWESOME!! He honestly made me feel like if I was family. Took my car in the morning he got me a ride to my work and also had me picked up when I got there he explained everything that was wrong with The car.VERY Detailed. And also the car got washed !! I?ve taken my car to other dealers and never had it washed so that was a big plus and at other places they aren?t very informative. I will be bringing my business here every time

I went to this Honda dealership and I had a quick thorough and professional experience! As soon as I got there the employees were super attentive and polite. I went in to the service department to get an oil change and Michael helped me out. He was very professional about getting an oil change and didn’t try and push on things to rip me off like most places do. After my oil change he showed full specs on the diagnostics they performed and informed me about things I should look into taking care of in the near future with great pricing. I definitely will be coming back to speak to him with these matters when time comes!

We purchased a used Mini Cooper Countryman. The price was very fair considering the market. We requested some attention to a few small dents and the sales manager (Kai) took care of them and this closed the deal for us. They also included a 90 day warranty on the engine and transmission. We encountered an oil leak that was causing a burnt oil smell to come through the A/C vents. We brought this to the attention of the service manager and he went beyond our expectations and replaced a series of gaskets and seals and this totally took care of the issues. Also, special thanks to Chris who was our service advisor. We are completely more than satisfied with the purchase and the service!

My service manager Jose and I have a mutual understanding and goal. 250000 miles. I’m a school teacher on a budget. He has helped me navigate the needed services over a period of time. We are scheduling out necessities so I’m not hit with one giant service that would be costly. Jose communicates with the mechanics and we all base the decision together. Just did a timing belt and oil change. The next big one will be suspension- but can get some mileage out of current condition. That said, I’m super satisfied with dealer service and find myself not looking for a mechanic elsewhere. I realize it’s a bit more expensive but lots employees doing great things there - so I do not feel I am being taken advantage of.

I always come here to service my 3 Hondas even though there are repair centers closer to my home. The prices are fair, they're very thorough, and they don't pressure you to buy services you don't need. They have greatly improved the time it takes to greet you at your car when you arrive. The facilities are top notch with a comfortable waiting area and free coffee or water. I always choose Kathy to be my service advisor because of my positive experiences with her. She'll advise me of service specials even if I don't mention it first.

I believe "chet" is dishonest and misleads consumers with unjustified market adjustments when vehicles arrive. as a share holder of autonation stocks, i feel this type of behavior may downgrade the total value of the company, please honor your online prices and stop adding uncertainty and doubt toward your customers.

An impossible mission, until I came across this dealership. They were honest, kept to the advertised priced on their website & on KBB website. They were upfront about the car throughout the entire process. They provided the carfax, allowed me to test drive the car, gave me a list of financing options (without bullying), & went to the trouble of scheduling a body/paint appointment for scratches on the front of the car. I contact the AutoNation by mail, asking for a secific model and color. Melissa from sales cntact me right away, followed by call. After agreeing on the price, we schedule an appointment for the next day. The car was ready to test drive when we arrived, short test drive, and to complete the paperwork. All together from arriving time to driving off the lot, took 3:20 hours. Which is anazing short time to buy a car. I would impruve two things. 1. On the test drive, the van had rubber mates, and when they deliver, they reolaced with cloth ones. I did not pay for extra options, but I expected to see the van, with all the equipment that it shoud be delivered. 2. An explanation of some of the featurs on the van (driver controlles) would be fine. Overall great experiance with Melissa the sales person, and how she handle the sale.

In July 2022, I took my 2019 CRV for an oil change. I was told I need a Brake Fluid flush and transmission service. No coupons were available. I just had the oil change done and I took my CRV to Honda Santa Ana where I was given coupons to use for the recommended services. On Dec 15th, I returned to Honda Costa Mesa for B1 service. I was told the brake fluid flush was badly needed although I just had the service done in Jul. I took the CRV back to Santa Ana to verify the services I paid for were done. They were indeed done and verified by showing me the brake fluid. Is Honda Costa Mesa trying to get me to pay for services definitely not required? Or, are they trying to take advantage of me because I am a female? I did call the service manager to express my anger in this matter. I still have NOT received a call back. I am also going to file a complain with Honda directly, I am sure Honda Corporate wants to know this location is trying to take advantage of their customers. This is my 5th Honda and based on my experience today, it will most likely by my LAST Honda.

Leased a car here 3 years ago and lease was ending. Went in to get a buyout from Honda and they came in with an initial offer that was a bit low. I countered and after getting the approval from the GM, it was agreed. Made some good equity and the process was smooth. Don’t have to deal with the DMV lines and happy with the service.

I took my 2017 Honda Pilot in for the first time to take care of some issues that I've been holding off fixing. My advisor was Christian and I could have not asked for a more helpful and nice guy. I explained that my vehicle has keyless starter issue, emissions system light on, and I believe there was a recall on th4 latch for the hood. Christian explained clearly the cost involved if these items were not covered under warranty. Anyhow - jumping to the end - my vehicle ended up getting fixed without cost and with prompt follow up by phone. Highly recommend this dealership for service.

This was my first visit. I only needed a key made but the level of attention and kindness that I received convinced me to keep coming back for all my Honda needs. Impeccable service from the phone call to make my appointment and all the reminder messages to when I drove into the service area and waited in the customer lounge. Customer lounge had work space, coffee bar, television lounge and was very clean and comfortable. I was quoted a 30 minute wait and my actual wait was only 10 minutes- when has that EVER happened? Nov 2022 Inflation has been tough this year and few places have added value to their products. Honda Costa Mesa is the exception. Took my daughter's Civic in for the service light. Jose Velasquez was the service advisor and shared prior recs from an earlier visit. He kept me informed of the multi point inspection including video from the tech with the car up in the lift. In between, he kept me informed via text, my preference. I really appreciate the informed customer service and follow through which adds value to Honda quality!! Thanks Jose and Auto Nation!!! Jan 2022 First time at Honda Costa Mesa after buying a used Honda Civic. Service advisor Derrick was great from start to finish. I explained I wanted to take advantage of the free winter check up. He shared they will do the multi point and provide a report on the status of recommendations. I left the car overnight as I arrived in the afternoon and did not want Honda to rush through the inspection. As expected, no major service needed. This affirms why we opted for a used Honda. Although not immediately needed, I opted for brake service as the car is intended for my daughter. The other maintenance such as filters and wipers can be a teachable moment with my daughter. Derrick stayed in contact the entire time through check out. I will definitely go back for scheduled maintenance. Thanks!

These days every dealer, small or big, add $3,000-5,000 on top of the advertised selling price. Ocean Whittier Honda was actually the worst. They added $9,000 of "accessories" to add to the cost of a new 2022 Honda Civic LX which has a MSRP of $22,000. AutoNation Honda in Costa Mesa was the only one I found that had honest, upfront pricing. I got a great deal on a 2021 Civic and it was very easy. No haggling. Daniel Lockhart was very helpful. I've already told several people to go to AutoNation.

I bought a 2015 Accord when it was new. I also purchased some additional oil changes & tire rotations. They do a good job on that and wash the car. I like my usual service advisor, Kathy. I used to take car in every 5,000 miles. Now with Covid we don’t drive the car much so I take it in once per year even though it’s only at 2,000 miles. But I keep track of the car’s service with notes in my glove box. Kathy was busy so my new service advisor Derrick suggested I do a throttle body cleaning and change the brake fluid. My notes show I already did both of those devices not too long ago.

On 2/13/22, my wife and I walked in to look at a 2015 CR-V out the door for $20,915.78 with all fees and taxes included except financing. Fouad was the car salesmen who helped us with details regarding the vehicle. Let me start by saying that Fouad was not familiar with the car. Then I pointed out some scratches on the outside door panel and I asked if we buy it, can he help with getting the car buffed and waxed to remove scratches on the house, and He responded “sure but not today because the service department is closed but you can bring it in and call.” The issue is he never gave me a name, number, or document stating that he was going to help. I asked him if he was a man of his word and he said yes, we shook hands. Then financing happened. We came in with a pre-approval with our credit Union but it was a little less than the total of the car. We wanted to purchase the car with zero down, so the financing department ran our credit to increase the limit. We got approved at 7.85% “supposedly” for $384/month for 68 months. I agreed to the number. Then he said he was going to get the car ready by washing it. When we were in the financing office, we were helped by Omar Alamir who appeared friendly but If you walk in to the dealership and go through financing with him, PLEASE READ ALL DOCUMENTS AND GRAB YOUR CALCULATOR AND DO YOUR MATH!! Please pay close attention. My wife and I started signing paperwork, when he started presenting us with warranties like Gap, extended warranties, etc. I told him I was not interested but to go ahead and show them to me. He showed them to me, and he asked if I was interested in Gap insurance and extended warranty, I told him no. He followed up by asking me that if he could get me the warranties and gap insurance for the same monthly payment, if I’d be okay with it, I said “sure but only if you’re not up charging me. I don’t want no hidden fees, no scams! Full transparency” and he said “of course” I said okay, let’s see the numbers. He said he was able to get me the extended warranty and gap insurance for $383/month for 68 months which was one dollar less per month than the original. This is when everything starts going downhill. Once we started filling the paperwork, I see the “Retail installment contract” document with all the itemized amounts of what we were paying, when I noticed that the interest rate was actually 2.49% and there was a $2,499 extended warranty and $749 gap insurance with the grand total for the car being $24,163!!! That’s WHEN I REALIZED THEY WERE TRYING TO DECEIVE ME!! I began breaking down the numbers and comparing them to the itemized original estimate. I point out the interest rate and the extended warranties, and I told him no to all warranties. I then told them the interest rate was a total lie and it was 2.49% but they were telling me all along that it was 7.85%. I got upset and I told Omar I didn’t want the warranty and I wanted the car for the original price I was given. Then Omar called another employee, I don’t remember the name but it was some Dorky Asian dude with glasses Who began trying to upsell me the extended warranties. I told him no! Once they realized I was upset and began calling them out on their lies, they decided to skip the warranties and sell me the car for the original price they gave me but this time only including the gap insurance. I finished all the paperwork and signed the deal. I told Omar in front of Fouad that he shook hands with me to fixing those scratches, and getting the passenger visor lights fixed along with a plastic that is hanging on passenger front door. Fouad said yes, I will, just call and we can set it up. I told Fouad that if he was a man of his word and he said “of course. I barely got the car two days ago, and I know I have the money-back guarantee for 5 days or 250 miles. My wife and I are considering on returning the vehicle. Would I return to this dealership to purchase a car… No! Would I recommend this dealership to others…. No!

It was a very pleasant experience, the person who sold me the car, I believe her name was Nickie was patient, professional and kind. Very likable!! Also the person who helped me on the accounting/credit side was also very liable as well, the entire staff who provided assistance was fantastic. The commercials seen on TV are true statements on the kind of people you hire...all kind and very likable. It makes you want to do business with Honda.

People were nice in the dealership. They offer you water when you seem like you need some. However, it might take some time for them to make their promise come true. 04/26/2021 new update about my purchase experience. I talked with the guy who sold me the car. I asked him if I could see their promise in action. Again, this time he told me no worries, he would call or text me about that problem. However. Almost a week later, I still got no call back and not nothing. and they even ignore my phone calls. It really surprised me. I was impressed by their customer service at the beginning before the purchase was made and the different customer service I have received after that. I would like to take a star off from this while I am waiting for their response. (-1 star each week until there aren't any stars).

Leasing a car is daunting at the best of times, doing it from the East coast prior to arriving in Ca during COVID - a real challenge. Hazem made it easy, one call to the dealer and within 30 minutes and 10 texts later the deal was done. Over the next 10 days Hazem kept in touch and the car was ready and waiting on my arrival in Costa Mesa. I cannot recommend Hazem and the AutoNation team enough as they made the entire car leasing process easy and by far the best experience I have ever encountered

AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa is a must go to for your service needs. I would recommend this location to all my friends & family who have Hondas. I went and Lidio was my service advisor; he was kind, patient, and kept me informed every step of the process of where my car was in the body shop. If more employees were like him more people would want to actually take their car in to get serviced instead of waiting last minute. I had excellent customer service and they kept their facilities up to standard with sanitizing and enforcing mask wearing while providing hand sanitizer to all their guest.

Our family has purchased or leased five cars from Hazim at AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa for three reasons: 1) Hazim is straightforward, friendly, knowledgeable and trust-worthy. He tells it to you straight and isn't trying to over-sell you. He wants to find you the right car for your family. 2) Hondas are great cars! They are stylish, have great features, fairly priced, and great quality. I've driven a few of them for over a decade with no issues. Every time a family member wants or needs a new car, we shop around at other brands but we also end up with another Honda. 3) AutoNation staff and service is great. Normally, I'd never recommend getting your vehicle serviced at a dealership for fear of high prices but AutoNation is reasonable, the repair team doesn't try to con you into extra services you don't need. They are quick, clean, and efficient. In short, by the end of the day, I’m driving a brand new hybrid. I love it! Go see Hazim for your vehicle needs! He's truly the best.

Habib and the Sales Manager were straight up with us. No extra fees, add-ons, surprises, or pressure. We came prepared with our own financing option, which he could not match. Really appreciated the 5 day no-questions return window. COVID protocols were observed. We were in and out of there in 3 hours - most of that time was checking out and test driving the vehicle. The dealer came in super low on our trade-in value, but we knew what our rock-bottom acceptance price was. Once we agreed on the trade-in value, things went super easy. I would buy another car from Habib and AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa. Habib even gave us a business card and told us next time we stopped into to see him he would fill our car with gasoline for free.

I have a 2001 Honda Civic which runs as well now as it did when I got it. I credit Lidio Valle for this. He came to Honda shortly after I purchased the car and has served both it and me ever since. He offers great service....often something as simple as checking with the mechanics on progress, ALWAYS there to meet me at the appointed time, carefully goes over the work required. AND here is something many advisors don’t do: tells me when work is NOT required. On several occasions I’ve been worried about brakes or tires, and Lidio has said, “Dont worry about them...you’ve got 6 months at least!” I think that probably convinced me of his reliability more than anything. I may have dealt with the only honest and straightforward salesman in the car industry. When I arrived, the car was priced higher, and before I said anything (in my mind, "here we go") the salesman said, oh, that's not the price we discussed on the phone. "You get the Black Friday special so the price...." was exactly what I'd found online and had discussed by phone. Here is an example of how honest this guy was. After the sale, he saw me floundering in the car. He came back, AFTER the sale, asked what was happening and spent another 15 minutes to go over all the "fancy" car settings, set my phone to the car and the various ways of connecting it. I've never had the sales person come back after the sale to help, ever. I will come to buy a new car every year here, to this AutoNation at Costa Mesa even though it's 2.5 hour away because today, this is the only new car dealership I trust.

Not impressed with our sales person at all. Bought a lease return and tried giving us only one key. Told us that’s all that was returned, like they didn’t charge them for the missing key? Give me a break! Then told us we could turn it into our insurance (& pretend WE lost it -fraud). Had to wait an extra hour while we waited for another key to be coded & cut. Has to cost at least $400 retail that they wanted to pass onto me.

Real: When dealing with a person you have never met before to buy a vehicle, you need to have a level of trust. Without it you may question if it was the right decision afterwards. With Christian I had that trust. No pretense, no vanity, and no superficial behavior at all. Personal: Christian listened to what I was looking for and helped narrow the field of vehicles very quickly. His experience was clearly seen by knowing what I wanted with only a brief conversation. Once knowing, I test drove the vehicle and then sat down to fine tune my choice. Cost to value, color, and options were clearly communicated. The car I purchased, the hybrid accord, was my personal choice. The choice was freely made. Efficient: No man stands alone. It took the team at Honda Auto Nation to make my purchase a reality that day. The car I desired was not on the lot and I was limited on time. The behind the scenes effort to locate the vehicle I wanted and have it for me the following day was incredible. Especially in light of the fact that it was a 2020 Hybrid, late in the season, and the whole Covid thing going on. But they made it happen! Christian and the other associates were constantly updating me while the process was taking place. Additionally, the finance person was efficient as well. Knowing my limited time schedule, he explained the need for an extended warranty, answered my questions, and got me financed. No high pressure sales on his end of things, just efficiency. A couple of side notes: First. I waited to write my review until all the details of my buying experience were completed. Follow through is important. Minor details were quickly handled. Second. The facility was spotless, restrooms were clean, loved the coffee and pens. Thank you Costa Mesa Honda. I heard you were a great place to buy a car. Now I know it through experience.

The Sales Manager Peter is especially condensing to women. i have always had my car serviced at the Costa Mesa, CA dealership and my experience has generally been good. This past Dec.2019 the service was not up to what i expected. I had taken my car in for regular oil/filter change as well as a problem with one of my tires. The problem with my tire was not fixed after waiting for 2 hours. I spoke with the Manager there right away and he said he would look into the process and why it did not work that day. I hope they will look into it and fix any errors or gaps in employee training.

First off let me start by saying I live In West Covina so traveling to Costa Mesa is a ways to purchase a car. My Mother and I made an appointment to see a vehicle we were interested in purchasing. We were trading in a vehicle to use towards the purchase of the car and my Mother was going to pay for the remainder of the balance. In other words no need to deal with financing and we had any already received a price for the trade in so this visit should have been short and sweet. Not so much. We met with the sales person who I had been communicating with via email and we spoke for a couple of minutes and then he went to find another sales person who would take me for a test drive. I went on the test drive with this other sales person who was very nice. After the test drive I advised the sales person that we were interested in purchasing the vehicle. Then we waited for someone to come back with the paperwork to start the process of purchasing the car. The original sales person came back and gave us a form that showed the price of the car and the final amount we would get for the trade in and then he asked a few questions and then left us sitting at the table not saying anything like “I’ll be back shortly with the final paperwork, etc. “ He just left us sitting there. Eventually he came back and asked another question and left again for even longer. We figured the next time we saw him we would be signing the paperwork and we would be on our way. No such luck. He ended up helping another customer and we didn’t deal with him again until we left. After sitting there for an extended period of time another gentleman came out and told us to follow him to sign the final paperwork. At this point we had been at the dealership for several hours. I don’t understand why this process took so long and why no one could come by and tell us what was going on. We finally finished the paperwork and were checking out the car and getting a final run down on how certain things worked when I noticed that there were 4 gouges in the bumper. I brought them to the attention of the test drive sales person and she took pictures and then spoke to someone else and advised me that they would order a replacement for this part of the bumper and contact me when the part came in. After 8 days I hadn’t heard anything from Auto Nation so I contacted them and they said they would check into it and get back to me. I then asked if I could have the bumper repaired somewhere closer to home. I was advised that since the Costa Mesa location was the location of the sale that it would have to be repaired by them. Now at this point it would have been nice if Auto Nation had said something like “since the damage was done by someone at the dealership, we will be happy to pay for your gas” but No such luck. Not even I’m sorry that this happened. I had to follow up with Auto Nation to find out what was going on, wait 3 weeks to get the replacement part for the bumper, spend 4 hours of my time on a Saturday and waste my gas to get something repaired that wasn’t my fault. I guess once you purchase a vehicle the customer is no longer important. So I would have to say I would not recommend Auto Nation Costa Mesa.

I had my oil change, multi point inspection, and tire rotation this time. I was told that it will take 2 hours to complete my requested service. So many customers are in for services and all mechanics are busy due to holiday season. However my car was ready in 1 hour. I was so delighted that I did not have to wait for 2 hours. Good job! Window motor broke on driver side. When picked up the car, passenger side window would not work. Had to fight with the mechanic because he did not think he did anything to the other side. The process of getting my car serviced was mostly good. The one comment I have for improvement is in the speed and form of communication. I had to wait a little longer because Autonation sent a text to my old phone number, even though I asked them to update the number. I bought a used car from this dealership three months ago (8/23/19) and I have not recieved the registration for the car. I've called the dealer numerous times and have talked to the finance and sales managers several times letting them know about the registration situation and they promise to call me back with information about why I have not recieved the registration but they never call back. I keep getting the run around from these people and I'm very frustrated with their customer service. I will never again buy a vehicle from this dealership and will not refer anyone to purchase a vehicle from them.

If I could give a negative 10 I would do that for the sales department. I will be giving 2 review--1 for sales (bad guys) and 1 for service (good guys) Here is the story. I bought a CERTIFIED used car from them--it was a nice low mileage MB GLK350 4 Matic. About a 1000 or so miles into the ownership I stated hear (or noticing) a whining noise coming from the transmission area. I have a long commute so the miles added up quick and by the time I took it to a MB dealer to have another problem fixed they informed me that the transfer case had a bad bearing and the transmission and transfer case were all 1 unit and it would cost $10,000 to have a rebuilt unit installed. I was floored--I didn't pay much more than that for the car. So I went back to the dealership and wanted some resolution. The Certified afforded me X,000 mile-3-month warranty. By the time I was able to get all of this sorted it was X,495 miles and less than 3 months—so 495 miles over the warranty. The response I got from the sales department: Hazem was literally: “tough luck” Kevin the Sales Manager: “we don’t owe you anything” And on top of that they would only give me 60 cents on the dollar on a trade in and only $500 or so off another car on the lot—so acting like the quint essential used car salesman and no real attempt to treat a customer right and step up and try and do the right thing to resolve a faulty car they sold. They sold that lemon and made their money—tough luck, we don’t owe you anything DON’T BUY A CAR FROM THESE GUYS!!! Step in Daniel the Service Manager—now this is a stand-up guy 10 STARS FOR HIM. Daniel was able to find a used transmission/transfer case with a 1 year warranty and his deal was that I would pay for the transmission at his cost and he would install it. This made fixing the car affordable and made sense—otherwise I was basically screwed had Daniel not stepped up—good man. Not sure why it seems so rare to meet a stand-up person and congrads to his parents for raising him right. I cant say enough about Daniel he really came through and saved the day HAVE YOUR CAR SERVICED BY THIS GUY!!!

Was there for oil change, tire rotation and specifically told them that the passenger side tire is leaking air about 4 PSI a day. Oil was changed, tires were rotated but did not fixed the air leak. The tire that was leaking air is now on the front passenger side. I was charged $20.00 for the air leak that was not fixed.

Please Read before you buy here . I would never recommend this car dealership to anybody. In the beginning when my husband and I were buying our Van which by the way . We were told had everything checked . Only to have our Honda Odyssey break down twice . Once from the Battery and once from Alternator . Now call me Crazy but If this car was properly inspected . I would not think two months later all these issues would arise . And now there is one more issue that we have to fix because our car is making a loud bad noise . When I asked at the dealership what the noise was , I was told . The Engine was just warming up . Amongst all of this it took me a while to get ahold of them just to notify them to fix the window shield . It was accidentally broken by a employee there. I finally got a manager to get back to me . He asked me to me to send pic . And I did . I asked when they would fix it . Which I was told they would and here we are one month later no response back . I hate to leave bad reviews . Because I don’t want to hurt a company . But with that said . If something is this bad it is necessary for other to know . Really don’t waste your time here . Poor Customer Service and not the best of cars !!!

Jim made it so easy for me to understand what that meant for my car and didn't pressure me into getting all of the work done. I ended up getting my tires rotated, oil changed, and drive plugs switched out. Auto Nation Honda is notorious for using unscrupulous tactics such as lying to their finance customers that they do not qualify for lower interest rates on cars they sell to their customers to charge a much higher interest rates. I believe they were fined cheating millions of dollars from higher interest rates from unsuspected customers. Mostly Hispanics ( non English speakers) . Our service representative, Kathy, was cordial and attentive as she listened to our description of the vibration problem we are having when our 2016 Honda CRV vehicle is in the drive mode and stopped at a traffic light. This condition was verified when we entered the service department. Kathy also described the temporary mitigation Honda America authorized for this problem as a cleaning of the Throttle Body engine component. According to Auto Nation Costa Mesa a car is in EXCELLENT condition when it needs $6,500 in engine repairs. We were 100% lied to about the car we bought from here and we’ve tried to contact Auto Nation and their warranty company 30+ times via phone/email and have gotten no response back. Had a great experience with Lidio this week for my Accord. He got me in quick, promptly followed up, made sure everything was done right and finished before the initial time estimate. He even had some scratches buffed out, above and beyond what I asked or expected.

I took my car for an oil change and tire rotation. I was charged what I was quoted over the phone. No additional charges or fees. The Service advisor, Lidio Valle, was great he didn't try to add other repairs to my car. He was very professional and answered all my questions. Their courtesy shuttle picked me up from work to take me to AutoNation Honda to pick up my car which was very convenient. I will definitely service my car through AutoNation Honda.

I first went to AutoNation Honda for some bodywork on my 2013 Volvo C70. Yes, a Volvo, because it was originally purchased at AutoNation Volvo in San Jose. The body shop manager Keith Thompson was an absolute delight to work with. That was about 18 months ago. Fast forward to last week, my Volvo [Schedule time for Maintenance] notification came on. I called to schedule at my fave Volvo authorized shop and much to my horror and dismay, they had permanently closed. So I'm thinking, do I want to drive over to the Volvo dealership in Santa Ana/Tustin or just try the AutoNation dealership within walking distance. I opt for closeness. The staff at AutoNation Honda could have not been more professional, though they were surprised to see me. Scheduled maintenance is basically reading down a list and checking the oil. Regardless of the make, a certified mechanic can do this. And they did. The only tiny glitch was forgetting to reset the notification light but they fixed that right away too. And the price was right. I am a permanent AutoNation Honda fan. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I want to thank the AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa for their customer service, their advice and their respect for their customers. AutoNation matched my price and their advice at the time of deal and finance was great. First of all, Yousef is one of the best experts who gives great advice on the cars, he is honest with the customers and he is very disciplined. So if you are a liable customer and you are looking for a reliable dealership who cares about the customers too consider AutoNation. The most important thing is they don't force you to decide and there is no rush in AutoNation, and this is a kind of respect you should ask from any dealership. Other staff checked on me periodically while I was at the dealership to make sure I'm treated nice and satisfied with my experience and this is one of the other reasons I wanted to share my experience here. John in their finance section was very friendly and processed everything and explained all the things to me word by word, although I had researched a lot before going to the dealership. This is my great lease experience in AutoNation and although I really struggled from the beginning at the other dealerships (esp. the other one I was about to make a deal) at the end I found the best deal with the best people.

I recently bought a '19 Honda Civic Sport from the Autonation on Costa Mesa. It was a great experience, I knew what I wanted and was guided into making that purchase with ease without any sort of hassle. I honestly would love to return there in 2-3 years time to either lease a newer car or purchase the Civic I have. Honda Costa Mesa is the best!!! Not only is my car in excellent repair, but Lidio Valle and his team went out of their way to give me a ride back to pick up the car. They'd come out and tried to call to let me know they had arrived to pick me up and I'd accidentally left my phone on mute. When we figured out what happened, Lidio sent a second driver out to pick me up, and by that time it was 5 pm. They get 5 stars from me!

It was a pleasantly straightforward experience. My service rep got me through the initial paperwork quickly, told me the estimate and the wait time and directed me to the temporary customer lounge (the dealership is currently remodeling). I was told it would be at least 2 hours which is what I expected considering it was 10:15AM on a Saturday. I ended up walking down to the Habit to have an early lunch. I got back to the dealership at about 11:50 and a few minutes later was advised my car was ready and it was going to cost less than the estimate (okay by a few dollars but that's never happened to me before). They even washed my car (which was very dirty). It was all good. I will go back again.

I started looking for a car about a week ago. From the moment that I had contact with Alex, everything went as smooth as silk! He contacted me and had me reserve the car since I could not get to it for several days. Think about this, how many sales people will put a car on hold for three days? That right off the bat told me that this was the type of person I wanted to work with. My wife and I arrived and Alex had the car ready for us. We went for a nice long test drive while Alex was kind to answer all our questions (believe me, my wife had many many questions :) We then informed Alex that my wife and I would go to lunch to discuss the vehicle. Now I have been to many places where they would try to keep you so that they would not loose the deal, but Alex said no problem. Before we even walked out of the area, my wife said she liked the car and I said lets buy it right now. We walked back in, filled out a few forms and we went to lunch while they got the car ready. NO HIDDEN FEE'S, the price was exactly as was stated!!!!!! This honestly was the easiest experience I've ever had buying a car. Not once, I repeat, not once did I ever feel pressured. That is almost unheard of in that type of business!!! I want to thank Alex (internet sales manager) and Kai (finance manager) for the easy, restful buying experience!

AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa made purchasing our 2018 Honda Pilot Touring very easy. Habib gave me a great price from the start which eliminated the traditional back and forth haggling. Having agreed to the price before coming to the dealer made the buying process so much easier. Another positive was turning in our 2015 Pilot which was coming off of a 3 year lease. They gave me a great turn in value from the start which again made the whole process easy. I felt good driving off in our new 2018 Pilot knowing I got a great deal and any easy buying experience. Habib did a great job as did the entire AutoNation team.

Save your self some time and do not go to this dealership. I can not even begin to explain how terrible the experience here was. From the very beginning the vibe was strange and the sales man lacked knowledge of basically everything I asked. The sales manager never made an attempt to join us he continuously sat behind his desk instead of being engaged and sending the salesman back and fourth every time I asked a question ( this went on several times, he had zero answers to any questions) I then let the associate know that I would not be doing business due to the lack of urgency, lack of communication and not being welcomed. 24 hours later I am notified that inquires have been added to my credit report. I then spoke with the general manager about this who was very standoffish and rude himself. He didn’t offer an type of apology and simply said that I agreed to this. Bottom line terrible experience and I read the reviews and saw how bad they were and tried to over look it. Never again!!!

I have purchased or leased 4 other Hondas and 2 Acuras from other dealerships and have always had wonderful customer service that has kept me coming back to Honda/Acura. Once AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa leased me my Pilot in November, the positive interaction ended. Money owed to me not paid in timeframe promised, accessories paid for not ordered, due bills lost... and the final straw was today when I took my car in for its first service and a detail promised to make up for some of the issues. When I picked up my car, items had been taken from my car. Service reps checked into it and no one knew anything and their final answer to me was that they were not responsible for items left in the car. Very frustrated with every interaction I have had with AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa!

I bought a Ridgeline at AutoNation. There was no hard selling, they offered a great price that was lower than any other dealer I found in San Diego or Orange Counties. They kept the same price for a week while I shopped around. The price was fixed with no hagling which I usual do fairly aggressively. Also there were no add ons which were added to the price. They offered reasonable prices on options versus some other dealers.

I was happy with my car buying experience. Uday Singh was great throughout the negotiations, which I did entirely via email at my request. I love my new 2018 Honda Fit EX-L. The only thing that kept this from being a 5 star review is that they failed to provide me with a second key fob. I was told that they would call me when it was in, and I could make an appointment and come in to get it programed. Did that, made the 40 mile RT drive only to be told there would be a 2 hour wait. No, I have an appointment. Sorry, that the wait time for an appointment. This should have been handled (Uday, you should have noticed this) before I even picked up the car which they had for a full day before I picked it up. 2 hours to wait to fix their mistake is just too much to handle. I walked out and still haven't received my second key fob.

Bought a brand new Honda Pilot at AutoNation Honda. Cant say enough good things about Uday Singh, Internet manager at Autonation Honda. Like most people I hate going to dealership and negotiating for hours. Fortunately Uday Singh,was a straight shooter and gave me 1 final bottom line price which was thousands less than most dealers around. No one came even close and service was amazing. He didn't have the exact car I wanted. But he arranged it from another dealership. Also the car came with some options already installed, but he didn't try to haggle on the price. I walking in the dealership with two under 5 year old kids and walked out of the dealership in less than 2 hrs. Best experience ever! Cars are pretty expensive for most people, and this is the level of service you expect.

I am not sure what could have made my experience worse. The biggest takeaway, in case you don't want to read the whole thing, is that there was no communication between me and AutoNation or me and Honda or, apparently, AutoNation and Honda. I had to do way more than I should have to get information about my car. To start with, I was very clear that I needed my car to be done by January 3rd. If it couldn't be done by then (I had some extensive repairs that needed to be done but they could have waited if it didn't work out with the schedule), I would wait until after that date to get it fixed. I was assured several times that it would not be a problem to have the car done by then. This was two weeks in advance. I dropped my car off and promptly heard...nothing. I called several times to find out information, and I was ignored or told I would receive a call back every time. It took me three voicemails left with my mechanic (Sarah) to get a call back, at which point she told me, "I have to check on [part/work/progress] and I'll call you back by the end of the day." Then I heard nothing and had to leave another several voicemails to hear from her again. (I should note that I was reasonable with my calls; I was only calling to find out the status of my car or to check on the update I was promised. We're talking a call every couple days or so, just to check.) Finally, after trying to reach literally anyone who had information, I found out that one vital part may or may not be available. It had been backordered, but another location might have it. Sarah would call me back by the end of the day to let me know if they had been able to obtain it or if they'd have to wait for it to get there. That was on January 2nd. Remember, they had said my car would be done by January 3rd. As soon as they knew it might not happen, they should have told me. I never received a phone call back from Sarah. So instead, I drove in my rental car to see if anyone could give me information in person. I spoke with the manager who went to find information. I was told that the part was in fact there, and the car would be done by noon the next day. Noon the next day turned into the afternoon on January 4th, which turned into that evening. I'd rearranged my plans because I didn't have the car, and I was still receiving no information. So finally, the evening of January 4th, I received my car. I got about a block away before realizing that the power steering was out. The power steering had not been a problem when I dropped the car off. This was an issue that arose while my car was with them, and seemingly ignored when they called to tell me it was ready. I had to take my car back, as it couldn't be driven safely at all, and they kept my car for another full day, *again* without telling me what was wrong until I went there in person. I should say this: at least 85% of my complaints have to do with communication. The fact that they messed up the power steering is unacceptable and infuriating, but the lack of communication is really what killed this experience. All they had to do was answer the phone when I called, or called back when they said they would, or give me an update. I should not have had to call several times *and* speak to the manager in person in order to find out information about my car. Had they just said that it couldn't be done by January 3rd, it would have been fine. Had they kept me in the loop, it would have been fine. But I was really in the dark regarding the status of my car, which meant I had to rearrange plans, keep the rental car without being able to give the rental company any firm information, and I felt like I was just blindly hoping that someone would tell me something. I trusted them and this whole experience was terrible.

I tried my best to make this car buying process as fluid as possible. I did all my research, I got my own funding, I knew what I wanted. I worked with two sales associates and they were both great to work with I got the price I wanted to pay with the condition from management that: I had to go with their financing and they would match my rate. I agreed and filled out the online form and they said everything looked good to come in and sign. I took the next morning off work and my wife got a babysitter for the kids only to find out that the manager had blatantly lied to us after wasted my entire morning there and my wife now frustrated with her experience we left without our car. I left a VM to Mark Wessel the GM on 11/30 and I still haven't heard back from anyone. Including the live chat representative on this website. Still no call back. My wife and I are extremely disappointed with the unnecessary unethical business practices with management. At the end we went ahead with the purchased the following day with our funding and our original plan and it all worked out great. thanks to our sales associated that kept us informed and followed up with us we wanted to give him our business. I will be giving other bad reviews on Social Media when I get a chance due to: Waste of Time Unethical Practices (Lies) and The feeling that management just doesn't care in hope that someone that does care reads them.

I bought a new Honda Fit 2016 in October 2017. Since the car was last year's model it had already been discounted $2000 so there was no wiggle room. The salesman, Al Noori, was very helpful and courteous. I would recommend him. He spent a least a half an hour after I purchased the car going over the workings of the computer, loading my contact information, selecting radio stations, etc. Also Sandeep Singh was very professional in the finance department.
